When the Boat Can’t Hold You Anymore
Have you ever felt trapped in a boat being tossed by life’s storms, clinging to what’s familiar—even as it’s falling apart around you?
In this soul-stirring episode, we dive into Matthew 14, where Peter walks on water during a violent storm. This isn’t just a story of courage—it's a divine confrontation with comfort, control, and the limitations we place on ourselves. Like Peter, we are often called by Jesus to step out of our boat precisely when the storm is at its worst.
Why does God call us out in the chaos? Because that’s where miracles meet maturity.
Many of us are navigating life in vessels that are no longer fit for purpose—relationships that drain us, jobs that limit us, mindsets that enslave us. We’re trying to patch up sinking situations, when Jesus is saying, “Come.” The past storms—traumas, failures, and fears—may no longer be present physically, but they continue to rage in our memories, influencing our faith and fogging our vision.
Peter’s story reminds us that it’s not about perfect walking—it’s about imperfect faith with your eyes on Jesus. He sank when he focused on the wind and waves, and so do we. But the beauty lies in what happened next:
“Immediately, Jesus reached out His hand and caught him.”
That same hand is reaching for you.
Are you holding onto something Jesus is calling you to let go of? A church culture that’s outgrown its spiritual fire? A career that once served you but now stifles your calling? A belief system formed more by fear than by faith?
This episode challenges you to consider:
Is your boat holding you, or is it holding you back?
The cross of Calvary is where yesterday’s storms must stay. You were not made to live in fear-based survival. You were created to walk in Spirit-empowered freedom. It’s time to jump—not recklessly, but obediently—and discover what it means to walk on water with Christ.
🎧 Tune in now to rediscover courage, confront fear, and experience the invitation of Jesus to live beyond the boat.
