Thoughts arrive early, responsibilities rise quickly, and the body has not yet caught up with the demands of the day. It is in this early stillness that Scripture offers not a burden but a covering. You, Jesus, stretch Your wings over the fragile edges of our morning and speak peace before anything else can speak fear. Father, as dawn touches Recife, Faro, Lubango, Pemba, Lima, and every home where someone wakes with anxiety already forming, You meet us without judgement. You see the heaviness we rarely admit. You understand the thoughts we try to outrun. You know the quiet dread, the unspoken fears, the worry we feel before our feet reach the floor. And You do not demand strength—we find it beneath Your wings. So, Jesus, lift the weight that greets us before daylight has even formed. Lift the emotional pressure. Lift the quiet ache of yesterday’s unfinished battles. Lift the uncertainty about what today might bring. Cover our minds with peace, our hearts with calm, and our spirits with a gentle certainty that You are already ahead of us, guarding, guiding, and preparing the way. Let Your wings become our rest. Let Your nearness become our confidence. Let Your peace become the filter through which we face the hours that will unfold. And as this morning begins, steady every trembling thought. Shape our day with Your presence. Guard our hearts and minds with a peace that does not falter.
