Psalm 91:2 — Jesus, Be My Refuge in the Deep Night When My Mind Cannot Find Peace and My Spirit Feels Alone

Welcome to Daily Prayer with Reverend Ben Cooper, live from London — reaching Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Chile. Psalm 91:2 (NIV): “I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” Salmo 91:2 “Direi do Senhor: Ele é o meu refúgio e a minha fortaleza, o meu Deus, em quem confio.” “The Lord is my Shepherd.” “O Senhor é o meu Pastor.” “El Señor es mi Pastor.” Matthew 11:28 (NIV): “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Mateus 11:28 “Venham a Mim, todos os que estão cansados e sobrecarregados, e Eu lhes darei descanso.” Jesus, in this deep hour of the night when the world is quiet and many hearts feel alone, I come to You. Sometimes the mind refuses to rest. Thoughts return. Worries circle. The silence can make the weight of life feel heavier. Yet Your Word reminds me that You are my refuge and my fortress. So tonight, Senhor Jesus, I turn toward You again. You are the safe place for my heart when the night feels long. Guard my mind and protect my spirit. Where anxiety rises, bring calm. Where fear whispers, speak Your peace. Let Your presence surround me like a shelter that no darkness can cross. Jesús, Tú eres mi refugio en esta noche. Tu paz es más fuerte que mis preocupaciones. Your peace moves deeper than the noise of the thoughts that try to disturb my rest. Protect this moment. Protect this home. Protect the quiet hours that restore strength for tomorrow. You are my Shepherd, guiding me even through the unseen paths of the night. Lead me beside still waters now. Restore the tired places in my soul. Where my heart feels heavy, lift it gently. Where my mind feels restless, quiet it with Your voice. Send Your angels, as Your Word promises, to watch through these hours. Let no fear take hold. Let no shadow disturb the peace You are building inside me. Cuidar de mim, Senhor Jesus. Guardar meu descanso. Let Your protection remain over every room of this home. Jesus, I trust You with the night. I trust You with the worries I cannot solve in this hour. Carry what I cannot carry. Calm what I cannot calm. Tonight I rest in Your refuge. Tonight Your peace surrounds me.
