Psalm 4:8 — Jesus, Let Me Sleep in Peace and Safety Tonight
surrender • safety • stillness Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for making Daily Prayer part of your life and part of your day. As we enter this quiet moment, we surrender the weight of today and prepare for rest. Psalm 4:8 (NIV) says: “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 91 reminds us that whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Lord Jesus, as this day comes to a close, we place everything into Your hands. Every burden. Every concern. Every unresolved thought. We release it now. Let Your peace settle over our minds. Let Your presence quiet every anxious place within us. Let Your covering bring safety and stillness. Jesus, You are with us in the night. Jesús, quédate con nosotros esta noche y danos paz y descanso. Jesus, fica connosco nesta noite e dá-nos paz e descanso.
