Psalm 4:8 — Jesus, Help Me Rest in Your Peace in the Quiet Hours of the Night

In these early hours of the morning, when the world is still and many hearts are awake with thoughts that refuse to settle, we pause together and turn our attention to Jesus. Psalm 4:8 (NIV) reminds us: “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 91 also reminds us that those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Even when the night feels long and the mind feels restless, God’s presence surrounds us and brings calm to our hearts. Lord Jesus, in this quiet moment we come before You. You see every anxious thought and every worry that rises during the night. We place those concerns into Your hands and ask for Your peace to settle over our lives. Bring rest to every listener who is awake right now. Calm the thoughts that refuse to slow down. Replace fear with quiet confidence and remind us that we are safely held in Your care. Jesús, trae Tu paz a cada corazón que escucha esta oración en esta hora silenciosa. Jesus, traz a Tua paz para cada coração que ora agora nesta madrugada. Lord, we trust You with the night. Let Your peace cover us and guide us gently into rest.
