Psalm 4:8 — Jesus, Calm My Fear and Quiet My Mind When I Cannot Sleep From London to Zurich, Warsaw, Prague, Vienna and Reykjavik. Psalm 4:8 (NIV) “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” John 14:27 (NIV) “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Father, in these early hours I bring You every fear that rises in the night, every thought that refuses to quieten, and every worry about tomorrow. Across Europe and the world so many lie awake searching for calm, longing for a moment of peace, and battling the weight of overthinking. Jesus, speak Your stillness over my mind. Remove the noise, the racing thoughts, and the swelling anxiety that tries to steal rest from my body and my spirit. Let Your presence settle me like a warm covering. Guard my heart from fear, and remind me that I am safe in You. Lift the pressure from my chest. Slow my breathing. Loosen the tension in my shoulders. Calm the storm of questions I cannot answer tonight. Lord, carry what I am not built to carry. Replace fear with Your peace, and uncertainty with Your strength. Help me surrender the next 24 hours into Your hands. Let me sleep deeply and wake restored, steady, and ready for the new day You have already prepared.
