Psalm 4:8 — God Gives Me Rest, Calm and Safety as the Night Begins From London to Toronto, from Dubai to Manila, from Rome to São Paulo — the world pauses to find peace in God. Scripture (NIV) Psalm 4:8 — “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Scripture (NIV) Isaiah 26:3 — “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” As night falls, anxiety rises for many. Thoughts race, worries replay, and the weight of the day often becomes heavier. Across the world people long for rest and mental quiet. God promises a peace that guards the mind and settles the heart when everything feels unsettled. Prayer Father, as this evening closes in, calm my spirit and steady my thoughts. Lift the heaviness that clings to me and quiet the noise within. Break the cycle of tension, fear and overthinking. Let Your presence fill every room, every mind, every anxious heartbeat. Cover my home with peace, restore emotional balance and renew strength. Where today has drained me, refill me. Where stress has overwhelmed me, lighten the burden. Grant deep rest, refreshed focus and quiet confidence for tomorrow. Surround me with Your protection and let Your peace become the atmosphere of this night.
