Psalm 34:18 — God Is Close to the Brokenhearted Tonight From London to Nairobi, from Sydney to New York, from Cape Town to Seoul — God meets His people in the quiet of the night. Psalm 34:18 — “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Revelation 21:4 — “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” Night brings reflection and often a quiet ache that daytime activity hides. Many feel alone, anxious or emotionally drained as the world settles. Across the globe, people search for comfort, reassurance and the sense that God truly sees them. Scripture anchors us in His nearness and care. Prayer Father, as this day ends, draw near to every hurting place within me. Heal the thoughts I cannot voice and lift the weight I have carried. Fill the silence with Your presence and exchange loneliness for Your peace. Comfort my heart, steady my emotions and remind me I am never unseen. Restore hope where it has faded and breathe strength into every weary corner of my life. Let Your love settle over my home, quiet every fear and carry me through this night with assurance that You hold tomorrow.
