Psalm 121:5 (NIV): “The Lord watches over you — the Lord is your shade at your right hand.” Hebrews 13:6 (NIV): “So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.’” Recorded live here with Reverend Ben Cooper — DailyPrayer.uk Ao vivo aqui com o Reverendo Ben Cooper de Londres, Inglaterra Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) • Lisboa (Portugal) • Maputo (Moçambique) • Bogotá (Colômbia) • Madrid (Espanha) proteção divina • descanso emocional • firmeza interior • ajuda present divine protection • emotional rest • inner steadiness • present help Jesus, as the evening hours settle over this day and the pace finally begins to slow, I come to You with the weight of everything I have carried. Some things went well. Some things stretched me. And some things drained me more than I realised. Yet Your Word reminds me that o Senhor é a minha sombra à minha direita — You stand beside me, steady, protective, and present. In this moment, when the body feels tired and the mind begins to turn inward, hold me steady. Bring proteção divina over my thoughts, my emotions, and my spirit. Evening is a doorway. It is where reflection rises, where hidden exhaustion surfaces, where the heart becomes more honest than it was at midday. And Jesus, You meet me here — not rushing me, not demanding more of me, but offering descanso emocional, emotional rest that settles the soul and brings peace into the places that feel overused. Whisper stillness into the noise. Quiet the worries that try to follow me into the night. Jesus, You know every listener joining tonight from Rio, Lisboa, Maputo, Bogotá, Madrid, across Brazil, across Africa, across Europe and Latin America. You see the stories carried through this day — the difficult conversations, the silent battles, the unseen pressures. Bring firmeza interior — inner steadiness — where their strength feels thin. Bring ayuda presente, present help, where their responsibilities feel heavy. Let the truth of Hebrews 13:6 rise within them: we do not face the evening alone; we walk into it with the Helper who never withdraws. So Jesus, cover this night with Your nearness. Surround every home with peace. Guard every mind from fear. Let tired hearts rest in the certainty that You are close, You are strong, and You are here.
