PHILIPPIANS 4 : 13 — STRENGTH IN CHRIST FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH : FAITH UNDER FIRE

Scripture (NIV)

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

— Philippians 4 : 13

Recorded live here in London, England with Reverend Ben Cooper

At 9 A.M., we stand with the persecuted church across the world.

Philippians 4 : 13 declares that strength comes from Christ alone.

In China, North Korea, Iran and Eritrea, believers worship in silence and courage.

The underground church gathers in hidden rooms with unshakable faith.

Prisoners of faith cling to Jesus when hope seems out of reach.

Today we lift the suffering church to the One who gives strength in every trial.

 Context

The persecuted church faces pressure, surveillance and danger for the name of Jesus. Many meet secretly, whisper prayers and risk everything to follow Christ. Philippians 4 : 13 becomes their lifeline. It reminds them that strength is not human; it is given by Christ in the darkest places.

Reflection

Courage is not the absence of fear but the presence of Christ. The Holy Spirit strengthens believers who cannot worship openly, who carry Scripture in their hearts and who trust Jesus behind locked doors. Their faith challenges us to stand firm, pray boldly and live with conviction.

 Intercession and Vision

We pray for China, North Korea, Iran and Eritrea.

Lord, protect secret believers and underground churches.

Strengthen prisoners of faith with hope and endurance.

Let the Holy Spirit fill every hidden gathering with power.

May revival rise even in the most restricted nations.
