Matthew 6:12 — Jesus, Heal My Heart and Help Me Forgive Myself and Others - From London to Copenhagen, Vienna, Geneva, Kraków, and Madrid, this evening devotional reaches those across Europe who are wrestling with guilt, regret, emotional heaviness, and the struggle to forgive. Matthew 6:12 (NIV): “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” Psalm 103:12 (NIV): “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” Jesus, as evening settles across the world, many hearts ache under the weight of guilt, regret, shame, unresolved conflict, painful memories, past failures, and the feeling of not being good enough. And these are exactly the long-tail cries rising across Europe and the world tonight—prayer for guilt, Jesus forgive me, how do I forgive someone, prayer for healing from regret, I can’t forgive myself, prayer for emotional release, Jesus remove my shame, help me let go of the past, prayer for inner healing, prayer for peace in my emotions. Jesus, You see every burden I am carrying. You know the thoughts I cannot express, the memories that return at night, the disappointment in myself, the fear that I have gone too far, the pain of what others have done, and the pressure to pretend that everything is fine. You know the places within me that still hurt, still tremble, still resist healing.
Tonight, Jesus, meet me in the places that feel too broken to mend. Lift guilt off my shoulders, dissolve shame from my heart, break regret from my memory, release bitterness from my spirit, bring freedom where bondage lived, bring peace where turmoil has stayed, bring compassion where anger has grown, and bring healing where wounds have kept me trapped. Teach me how to forgive—not by pretending the pain didn’t matter, but by releasing it into Your hands, trusting that You are the healer and the judge. Help me forgive myself. Help me believe Your word over my feelings. Let Your mercy rewrite my story. Let Your compassion restore my identity. Let Your love define me, heal me, cleanse me, steady me, and free me. I declare tonight that I am forgiven, I am loved, I am washed, I am restored, I am renewed, I am released from guilt, I am held by grace, and I walk forward in freedom.
