Matthew 5:10–12 — Jesus, Strengthen Every Believer Who Stands Firm Under Persecution Today Seoul • Lagos • Karachi • Minsk • Beijing Secret believers, underground faith, Holy Spirit endurance, courage under threat, hope for the persecuted Matthew 5:10–12 (NIV): “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness… rejoice and be glad. Psalm 31:24 (NIV): “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” Across the world at this very hour, unseen disciples whisper the name of Jesus behind closed doors, in hidden rooms, in fields, in prisons, and in silence. Faith is costly in North Korea, Afghanistan, Nigeria, and China. Daily life for them includes threats, confiscation of Bibles, fear of arrest, monitoring, isolation, pressure to deny Christ, danger to families, and constant uncertainty. Yet the Holy Spirit strengthens them with a courage human strength cannot create. Jesus, stand with every believer who worships quietly today. Strengthen hearts that feel afraid. Protect those who gather secretly. Comfort those who have lost homes, opportunities, or family because they follow You. Cover pastors who preach in whispers. Guard those who carry Scripture pages hidden in clothing. Surround Christians who face harassment at work, hostility from neighbours, or pressure from authorities. Fortify the weary. Lift the discouraged. Let the Lion of Judah roar courage over those who feel alone. Holy Spirit, give supernatural boldness where fear fights for control. Give wisdom when decisions must be made quickly. Give peace where danger feels near. Give hope where despair tries to rise. Let miracles happen in the dark — protection, provision, revelation, strength, unity, and unseen angelic covering. We declare that no threat can silence the gospel, no system can erase the church, and no enemy can extinguish the flame You have placed in Your people. Jesus, be their shield, their defender, their courage, and their comfort. Yahweh, hold every persecuted believer in Your everlasting arms. Jesus, strengthen every persecuted believer today.
