Your Word tells me that Your mercies are new every morning — misericórdias renovadas — and I hold onto that promise right now. For many of us, the early hours carry both hope and a quiet weight. Thoughts of yesterday still linger, and thoughts of tomorrow begin to stir. Yet in this 5AM moment, Your presence offers something steady, gentle, and deeply reassuring: esperança crescente — the hope that grows with the dawn. Jesus, let this morning be a reset for my inner world. Lift the heaviness that tries to stay. Clear the fog that sits in the mind upon waking. Bring descanso interior — an inner rest that is not dependent on circumstances but anchored in who You are. Teach me not to run ahead into the uncertainties of the day. Remind me that worry does not need to be the first voice I hear. Let mercy be the first. Let grace be the first. Let Your promise be the first. Where I feel inadequate, strengthen me. Where I feel anxious, steady me. Where I feel stretched, refill me. Let the sunrise preach to my heart: “You are not alone. You are not forgotten. You are held.” Let this quiet hour become a foundation for the whole day — a moment where I choose trust over tension, peace over pressure, and Your presence over panic.
