Joshua 1:9 — Jesus, Give Me Peace Before I Sleep Tonight From London to Rotorua, Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch, and Hamilton — this night prayer reaches those who cannot switch off their mind and long for emotional rest. SCRIPTURE (NIV) Joshua 1:9 — “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Psalm 23:4 — “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…” PRAYER Jesus, tonight I bring every fear, every racing thought, every moment where my mind refuses to settle. Rotorua is facing a rising emotional-health surge — anxiety in the evenings, fear of tomorrow, intrusive thoughts, pressure from work and family, and a silent heaviness that so many carry alone. You see those lying awake, exhausted but unable to rest, overwhelmed but afraid to admit it, and You come near with courage and comfort. And these mirror the long-tail searches flooding New Zealand tonight — night anxiety prayer, Jesus calm my mind, prayer for emotional rest, fear of tomorrow prayer, I can’t stop overthinking, prayer for sleep protection, prayer for peace before bed, Jesus protect my thoughts, prayer for night fear, prayer for mental quiet — and You answer: Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Jesus, quiet my mind. Slow my breathing. Lift the pressure in my chest. Break the spiral of overthinking. Remove the fear of tomorrow. Let Your presence settle over me like a warm covering. Let Your courage rise where panic tries to grow. Let Your peace speak louder than every intrusive thought. Walk with me through the dark valley, and remind me that no valley is too deep for Your light. Give me holy rest tonight, unbroken peace, and a refreshed spirit for tomorrow. Let Rotorua feel the weight of Your nearness and the freedom of Your peace. DECLARATION I will not fear the night. Jesus is with me, His peace surrounds me, and His courage strengthens me.
