Joshua 1:7 — Jesus, Guide My Steps as a New Day Begins Live from London, England with Reverend Ben Cooper • South Africa • Chile • United States • India • Angola Joshua 1:7 (NIV): “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.” James 1:5 (NIV): “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” As dawn approaches and the world begins to stir, Jesus, we look to You for steady guidance. Joshua was told not only to be courageous, but to walk carefully, with focus and clarity. In these early hours, when the mind is still forming thoughts for the day and decisions begin lining up ahead of us, we ask You for the same wisdom. You see every path, every conversation, every challenge waiting beyond the morning light. You know what we cannot yet see. So we ask You to guide each step with calm direction. For those waking in the United States seeking clarity for work, for those in India longing for wisdom for family decisions, and for Portuguese-speaking believers praying “guia-me, Senhor,” Your promise remains constant: You give wisdom generously. Let this morning carry a sense of steady courage, not rushed or forced, but rising gently from Your presence. Remove the noise that distracts. Quiet the thoughts that turn us to the right or to the left. Lead us forward with a stillness that reassures the heart and strengthens the mind. As the day unfolds, let us walk with focus, knowing that Your guidance surrounds every decision. Bring clarity where there is uncertainty, confidence where doubt has lingered, and peace that shapes the rhythm of the entire day. Jesus, guide our steps, our thoughts, and our choices. Make this morning a beginning marked by wisdom and courage. Amen.
