Joshua 1:5 — Jesus, Stay With Me Tonight When I Feel Abandoned and Overwhelmed From London to Warsaw, Vienna, Rome, Prague, and Copenhagen, welcome to this early-morning daily prayer devotional as we step into the quietest hours of the night. This is the moment when loneliness grows loudest, when memories replay, when the mind exaggerates fears, and when many across Europe and the world whisper, “God, please don’t leave me now.” Joshua 1:5 (NIV): “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Psalm 139:11–12 (NIV): “If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide me…’ even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day.” Jesus, I bring every listener who feels abandoned, isolated, forgotten, or emotionally overwhelmed in this hour. You are the God who steps into the darkness, sits beside us, stays with us, and refuses to walk away. Wrap Your presence around every trembling heart. Let Your companionship defeat loneliness, Your light silence the heaviness, and Your closeness break the lie that we are alone.
