In a world where religious rituals often define spiritual life, true freedom and healing are found not in external practices but in authentic faith in Jesus Christ. The Power of the "Sun of Righteousness"
In Malachi 4:2, we encounter the imagery of the "Sun of Righteousness" rising with healing in its wings. This powerful symbol speaks to the healing power of Christ, inviting us to experience true transformation. Unlike religious rituals, which can sometimes focus on external actions, faith in Jesus brings inner healing, a deep spiritual freedom that transcends formality.
As we see in Luke 8:43-48, the woman with the issue of blood reaches out to Jesus, risking societal rejection, and is healed through her faith. It wasn’t the ritual or religious law that healed her; it was her personal trust in Christ’s power. Similarly, Jairus’ faith (Luke 8:40-56) breaks through cultural barriers and brings miraculous healing to his daughter. Both stories remind us that faith, not tradition, is the gateway to restoration.
Faith vs. Religious Rituals
Today, many of us are conditioned to think that healing and spiritual freedom come through religious rituals or adhering to cultural norms. However, the healing power of faith is found in Jesus alone. It’s not about performing prescribed actions, but about embracing a personal, transformative relationship with Christ.

In the story of Jairus’ daughter, Jesus only allows those who believe to witness the miracle. This underscores the importance of a faith-filled community. Surrounding ourselves with believers who encourage and strengthen our faith is essential for spiritual growth and transformation. As we move forward in faith, having a supportive community reminds us that we are not walking this journey alone.
