Israel, End Times Prophecy, and the Jewish Prayer Shawl – With Rev. Brian Greenaway
In this profound and timely episode, we are joined by Reverend Brian Greenaway of Maoz Ministries to explore the prophetic and political events surrounding Israel, and how they align with Scripture, the Second Coming of Jesus, and the last days.
As conflict intensifies across the Middle East, this episode dives deep into the current war in Israel, the humanitarian crisis at the Rafah Crossing, and the escalating tensions following the death of Iran’s president in a helicopter crash. Over 300,000 acres of land in Northern Israel have been destroyed by rocket fire, raising serious concerns about the safety and future of Israeli civilians.
We explore the long-term effects of the Islamic Revolution, and the spiritual battle that underlies today’s headlines. Rev. Greenaway brings clarity to these unfolding events, connecting them with Bible prophecy and encouraging believers to recognize the signs that point to the soon return of Christ.
A unique and powerful part of this episode is our discussion on the Jewish prayer shawl, or Tallit. Rev. Greenaway shares its rich biblical history and spiritual meaning. The Tallit, often worn during times of prayer and worship, has roots in the command given by God in Numbers 15:38–40, where the Israelites were told to wear fringes (tzitzit) on the corners of their garments as a reminder of His commandments.
We examine how the prayer shawl represents intimacy with God, reverence in worship, and the continuity of Jewish tradition through the centuries. We also reflect on how Jesus (Yeshua) Himself wore a garment with tzitzit, as seen in Matthew 9:20, where a woman was healed by touching the “hem of His garment.”
This ancient symbol of faith becomes even more significant as we discuss prayer, intercession, and the need for believers to stand spiritually alert in these final days. As Rev. Greenaway explains, the Tallit is not just a piece of cloth—it’s a picture of God’s covering and covenant with His people.
