1 Peter 5:7 — Casting Every Anxiety on God When the Evening Feels Heavy Scripture (NIV): 1 Peter 5:7 — “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Psalm 4:8 — “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Around the world tonight, anxiety rises as people begin to reflect, worry, or replay their day. Global search patterns show an evening spike in fear, intrusive thoughts, and emotional exhaustion. But God meets us now with rest, peace, and divine reassurance. Prayer Father, I lay every anxious thought before You. Where fear tightens my chest, release Your calm. Where pressure overwhelms, stretch Your peace across my mind. Break the cycles of overthinking and quiet the storm inside me. Let Your presence settle my breathing, steady my heart, and restore clarity. Lord, gather every worry, spoken and unspoken, and cover my home with Your peace. Lift the weight of today, silence the voice of fear, and let Your care hold me through this night. In Jesus’ name.
