Many of the most common troubles in Christian life come from relating to God as if He was like us, as if His kindness was as slight as our kindness, His forgiveness as reluctant as our forgiveness, His patience as fleeting as our patience. Under impressions such as these, we walk uneasily through our Christian life, insecurity rumbling like distant thunder.
Today, you will learn that when you repent and return to God, confessing and forsaking your sins, you will find a Father running to meet you, a Savior who has already been knocking, a God who abundantly pardons and plentifully redeems, and a Lord whose patience is perfect.
