Show Notes
Today, we're talking about the architecture of power in Detroit. We've got Andrew Lapin back with us – he's a journalist whose recent work with 99% Invisible on the Ambassador Bridge really gets into an important story about Detroit. It's a conversation about privatization, about legacy, and how decisions made generations ago are still shaping our lives today.
We're going to be unpacking the historical baggage, the political machinations, and the almost unbelievable story of one family's grip on a vital piece of infrastructure.
To me, it's a cautionary tale, but it's also a story about resilience, about what happens when a city starts to reclaim its narrative.
