Amazon is making big strides in the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with its new family of AI models called Nova and its custom-designed AI chips called Trainium. Nova can be used to understand and create text, images, and videos, making it useful for tasks like analyzing complex documents, producing marketing content, and building AI assistants. These models are designed to be fast, affordable, and easy to use for businesses of all sizes. Amazon is also building powerful supercomputers like Project Rainier, which will use hundreds of thousands of Trainium chips to help companies train their own AI models. This push into AI chips is putting pressure on Nvidia, the current leader in the AI chip market. Amazon hopes that by creating its own chips and software, it can make AI more accessible and give businesses more options when developing their own AI solutions.
