For some dads, fatherhood is either a prison or liberation, depending on their orientation of what being a father should be like. Fathers are said to be the providers for their families’ needs. But, whoever thought this provision is limited only to the financial aspect is painfully wrong. Today’s guest, Ryan James Miller, elaborates on how fatherhood relates to manhood and leadership in the family and the community.
One important aspect that this episode intends to direct us to is our need for validation from the people around us. Where is this need coming from? How do we react or feel when this “need” is not satisfied? It is important to get to the root of this “need” to understand how it plays a major part in the portrayal of our roles as fathers and husbands.
