S2 Ep 3Reverend Richard Coles

E

Rosie and Helen are joined by the absolutely wonderful Reverend Richard Coles. Richard is a Church of England priest in the quintessentially English village of Finedon, Northamptonshire, where two of his ancestors were Vicars in the seventeenth century. However, in complete contrast, more than a quarter of a century ago Richard was the instrumentalist half of pop band The Communards, together with Jimmy Somerville. During the 1980s The Communards had three UK Top 10 hits, including Never Can Say Goodbye and the biggest-selling single of 1986, Don’t Leave Me This Way. Reverend Richard Coles is co-presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live and is regularly seen as a guest panelist on shows such as Would I Lie To You?, Have I Got News For You and QI. Often described as Britain’s most famous vicar, Richard was the inspiration for the main character in the BBC hit comedy Rev, a programme for which he also served as consultant. So get ready for one hell (heaven?) of an episode...It takes a certain type of person to work in showbiz, and often it was clear from the start that they were destined to end up on stage. Daddy Look At Me takes the time to explore these scenarios with a guest every week.Helen Bauer and Rosie Jones will probe the guest on the pivotal moments in their early life; from childhood, to romance, and everywhere in between, we want the highs and lows that make it so obvious that this craving for attention ensured our guest was a born entertainer. You can follow our Instagram and like us on Facebook! And you can follow Rosie and Helen on Twitter! This is a Studio71 production. Producer - Jack Claramunt Exec Producer - Tom Payne & Jody SmithProduction Support - Phie McKenzieEditing - Joel GroveStudio71 is a Red Arrow Studios Company.
