The Philosophies of Men in the Book of Mormon and The Philosophies of Men Today
One way to look at the Book of Mormon is through the Nephite "Dissenters." This is where the political and theological divide is really exposed by Mormon. Virtually all of the Dissenters go to the Lamanites, who share certain values and doctrines with the Dissenters.
There seem to be three major divides:
1) The Doctrine of Christ
2) Liberty
3) Critical Theory (Oppressor/Victim & Liberation)
We find the Philosophies of Men today within the conflict of these three divides.
