On this week’s Cut to the Race podcast, Oli is joined by Abby and James as they review the Italian Grand Prix and do a special edition of the FormulaNerds quiz.
It was the Italian Grand Prix last weekend and there was action throughout the whole weekend. The panel start off touching on free practice, which saw Sergio Perez crash as well as Lance Stroll having a very unfortunate time.
Next up was Qualifying and the trio dissect each session, focusing on the performance of the Alpine drivers, the differential between the Aston Martins and the tense battle that saw a Ferrari driver take pole at Monza.
After giving their world famous National Anthem reviews, the panel review the race. They discuss the opening laps and the battle between Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen for the lead. The trio also talk about the Mercedes drivers, in particular George Russell’s incident with Esteban Ocon and Lewis Hamilton’s incident with Oscar Piastri.
They then chat about all the battles on track, which provided some great racing, especially the inter-team battle between the Ferrari drivers before reviewing the championship standings.
