Collecting anything is an experience in itself. I (Josh) collect a lot of things. Retro video games, board games, figurines, other pieces of nostalgia for me. Brian is always curious to talk about this stuff. Let's be honest here also: I LOVE to talk about it. This is truly a passion thing for me. Leaders lead, regardless of appointed position, authority, or title. It is an action word. Who leads like this in your life? As a leader, do you listen well?

Over time, the roles and dynamics between parents and children evolve and change. How has you relationship with your parents and/or children changed over time? Do the decades have a theme?

Would you like what you like if you blind tasted something, without the benefit of labels? What else would you discover if you removed the labels from things?

Old-fashioned, tried and true. Hard work gets things done. And, are you smart with your work? What non-professional pursuits do you work hard at to be excellent? What real life skills can you develop by playing games? What game skills do you have that can apply to real life?

What you don't know, can hurt you? Or, what you don't know, can hurt others? Where are your blind spots, and how do you gain perspective on it?

How do you work at understanding one another? Do you actively maintain and build the respect for one another? Are you unyielding and unforgiving, or gracious and patient?

No matter what we do, change is inevitable. We are surrounded by it. Can you really prepare? How can you help prepare others?

Are you a pet person? Do you have funny or heartwarming stories about pets, past and present? How do they enrich your human relationships?

The forms of human contact are wide and diverse, and the common ground the connects us is that we all need it. Has your sanctuary become compromised? Has your relational well run dry in these times?

You do not need to know everything. But, not knowing can inspire you to learn and expand your curiosity. How do you anchor yourself as you stretch into an unknown?

How have common or assumed conveniences created an entitlement perspective in a lot of the world, professionally, governmentally, personally? How have these assumptions made us blind to the situation of others? Is it all about you, or should we help others?

They are not real, but they influenced you more than you know. What cartoons did you watch when you were young? What characters inspired you as a person?

How do your preferences change in light of shifting context? How do your priorities affect your preferences? How does the macro view of all this help us create?

Why don't we take the time to assess and care for yourself unless forced to do so by circumstance? It's never too late to start somewhere, right now.

Understanding change and progress requires us to understand the starting context for the change.
