Dr. David Holbrook, Executive Director - National Association of English Learner Program Administrators (NAELPA)
Dr. David Holbrook has a passion for helping others and has dedicated his professional career to linguistic research and language development. He worked for 16 years overseas, conducting original research to identify language groups in need of language development. His PhD focused on comparing the grammar of four languages to determine their classification and compatibility for sharing literacy materials. Dr. Holbrook's work with SIL International, a prominent organization involved in linguistic research and Bible translation, provided valuable data on rural, remote, and minority languages, uncovering cultural connections and unique vocabulary reflecting the experiences and innovations of different cultures.
