On February 24, 2022, Russian ground forces entered and invaded Ukraine, with the intention to "denazify" the invaded nation. Russian President Putin called it a mission to get rid of Nazi influence in the region, while Ukrainian President Zelensky proclaimed that "The Ukrainians will never surrender". The thunderous disturbance of war and its consequences have re-entered Europe, almost in parallel to World War Two.
