Ep 13CSG #31: Who are the top sports bad guys?

Podcast 31 rolls out and the guys get down to the business of Netflix, televisions, the Cheesecake Factory, anger sharks, and much more. Then they decide to talk sports too ... Where should Peyton Manning go? Is it important to spend your career with one team in this day and age? Does anyone care where he goes? Because we're pretty sure Denver is not a possibility. Perrish Cox gets mentioned for the last time on the CSG program as the guys try to understand just what happened in that bizarre case and try to make sense of Cox's tweets about being found "not guilty". Some Nuggets talk finds its way into the show as Ross asks why George Karl is still the coach? Nate tries to determine what players could be available at the trade deadline and Ross shares his thoughts on Nene and his contract. And the return of the Top 5 List happens as the guys discuss the Top 5 Sports Bad Guys. Kobe Bryant gets a mention, along with O.J. Simpson, Rae Carruth, Derrick Fisher, and more. Ep 12CSG #30: Avs make deadline moves, ebbs and flows of blogs

The guys call Cheryl Bradley from Mile High Hockey.com to ask about the two trade deadline deals the Avalanche made. Were the moves to make the team better, this season? And did the Avs win those trades? We get the full scoop from Bradley. The guys venture into the comment sections of blogs, newspapers, and national websites to discuss the ebbs and flows of die-hard fans in good times and in bad. Ross asks Nate about being criticized as a blogger and all sorts of questions. A lot of the talk stemming from the heat George Karl has taken from commenters on Denver Stiffs.com. Finally, Nate quizzes Ross about the NBA All-Star game. Which conference won? Who got their nose broken? Who was the nose breaker? And who won the dunk and three point contests. Ross' knowledge is pretty outstanding on these subjects, even though he thought Jeremy Bloom and Jeremy Evans were the same guy ... Listen in. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 11CSG #29: We are Ruling Sports with Alicia Jessop

Grab your seat on the bus as we're traveling all around the sports landscape on this podcast. Alicia Jessop from Ruling Sports.comand Business of College Sports.com joins the show to help the guys break down some serious business. After grilling Alicia on how she got started in the blogging world, the guys uncover some very interesting stories on some of Alicia's colleagues and interviewees. Like how she met Nathan Whitaker, co-author of Tim Tebow's book, "Through My Eyes." And she talks about meeting Olympic Gold Medalist Rafer Johnson at a volleyball tournament in California, where she had been trying to score an interview with Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love. Johnson's powerful story, and his character, clearly left a mark on Jessop and we were lucky enough to hear all about it. (Read that story about Rafer Johnson here.)Other than forcing Alicia's to plug her various ESPN radio interviews, the guys also allow her to talk about going to Rockies Spring Training (for the second year in a row), their thoughts on Jim Tracy, and if the Rockies are trying to ruin local watering holes by having Opening Day on a Monday versus the end of the week or weekend.Jessop is also an attorney, so the guys bounce some legal issues off her as well. Like the NFL and NBA age limits, paying college players, and getting Wilson Chandler out of his Chinese deal ASAP.And be sure to listen to find out how to win a Mozgov's Militia T-shirt, as well. The guys wage battle as names like Kenny Smith, Reggie Williams, Brian Williams, Bobby Jones, and Scott Hastings get shouted out. And the prize for this contest ... well, the guys handpicked CSG listeners that Tweeted the show via the hashtag #MozgovMilitia. The guys are back talking Super Bowl, some rap music and food, how to watch the big game, and who should play John Fox or George Karl should a movie be made involving the Denver teams ... a hint - his crimson is not quick or dead. The Nuggets not only suffered in the win and loss column last week, but the injuries are starting to really pile up as Danilo Gallinari suffered a sprained left ankle that could keep him out up to one month. Who will step up for the Nuggets? Denver can't keep relying on the veterans. A new segment makes its way into the CSG studios that goes by the name of, "Nate's Gripe of the Week..." A clue? It has to do with getting punched in the face. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Sure, Benjamin Hochman is a Nuggets expert, but the guys asked him to sit in and offer up his take on his other areas of expertise: The Legend of Tim Tebow, the best burgers in Denver, his take on hot wings, mustaches, and of course the Nuggets, as well. How could the show not start by talking Broncos? Ross was unable to be at Mile High in person, but he explains why he had an advantage over the folks who watched on satellite or cable. Nate marvels at the ability of different players to step up, and Hochman fills the guys in on how George Karl's Pittsburgh fandom conflicted with his love of Colorado. The guys offer up predictions on Broncos vs. Patriots and the Colorado Guys take Denver, while Hochman tries not to rule out hope ... The guys sneak in a podcast towards the end of the week; things will be back to the normal Tuesday nights next week (Jan. 10th). Ep 3CSG #21: Broncos vs Chiefs showdown, Nuggets start right

The CSG studios are abandoned for the CSG kitchen as the guys fire up another tasty podcast. Ep 2CSG #20: Karl Mecklenburg interview & Top 5 NFL Linebackers

For the anniversary of the 20th show, the guys welcome on Broncos legend and Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist Karl Mecklenburg. The former 12 year NFL veteran played from 1983-1994 and amassed 79 career sacks for the Broncos. Ross and Nate get Mecklenburg's thoughts on the Hall of Fame honors, some stories from his playing days, what it would be like if players were still "policing" the game, his thoughts on the current Broncos team, and what he's up to now - his motivational speaking and thoughts on perhaps coaching in the NFL. Nate and Ross answer a few questions from Denver Stiffs readers about the team and express their expectations for the upcoming season. CSG #18: Broncos, Nuggets & Avs...oh my!

Can you believe the Broncos found a new way to make a comeback? Well, the guys can. This Broncos team is a resilient one and both callers this week are wanting to talk Broncos ... one all the way from New York! Demaryius Thomas couldn't have found a better time to set career marks. The Minnesota Vikings were caught off guard at Tim Tebow's throwing abilities as the Broncos won and find themselves in a first place tie in the AFC West. The Miami Dolphins have done the Broncos two favors this season; once by losing to Tebow and Company and the other by defeating the Raiders last Sunday. Even without defensive sack master Von Miller, the Broncos found a way on defense to make a few key turnovers. UFC 140 is approaching as Jon "Bones" Jones looks to defend his light heavyweight title for the second time, this time against Lyoto Machida. Nate thinks it's over for one-trick ponies in MMA as Jason "Mayhem" Miller was destroyed by Michael Bisping and these new era fighters will be dominating from here on out. The Nuggets might have hope to re-sign both Arron Afflalo and Nene and will open the season in Dallas on December 26th to face the defending champion Mavericks. The Nuggets play one goofy back-to-back-to-back set to open February and the season will end in late-April, instead of mid-April as usual. All that, plus the Top 5 Most Overrated Athletes. Enjoy!
