Hackers hijacked the Twitter account of an obscure French politician earlier this week, using it to promote a Ripple (XRP) scam.
According to reports, the account, belonging to Municipal Councillor Quentin Feres was taken over on Tuesday.
While in control, the scammers tweeted, “XRP is ready to huge PUMP. To support our community, Brad Garlinghouse Ripple XRP CEO initiated XRP GIVEAWAY…Note: you can take a gift only once. Please hurry up!”
