In July, the US federal reserve will finally release FedNow, its very own payment system that it says might just outperform virtually all digital assets, including stablecoins and the planned digital dollar.

FedNow says it will make USD settlements between financial institutions faster and cheaper while staying up and running 24/7. It also claims superior scaling, intraday finality, and vastly improved traditional interbank settlement systems like FedWire or ACH systems.
