This is Episode 112, and today we gather around the appointed readings for the 11th Sunday after Trinity. These Scriptures—Genesis 4, Psalm 50, Ephesians 2, and Luke 18—speak with one voice.
They show us what happens when worship is offered without faith. They show us the danger of pride, the futility of works, and the power of God’s mercy. And at the center, they proclaim the heart of the Gospel: it is not our sacrifices, not our boasting, not our efforts, but Christ’s mercy that saves.”
