Since the spring, tens of thousands of foreign migrants have arrived in the city from the southern border with the hope of getting asylum in the United States. But with the future of federal policy Title 42 in limbo, the city is preparing for another influx of arrivals. What does that mean for city and national systems that are already operating with backlogs? And what are the chances these newcomers receive the right to stay in the U.S.?
