There’s an international effort to overthrow the U.S. dollar as the world reserve currency. Doing this would break a key part of the U.S.-led world order, since it could disable America’s ability to use sanctions. This effort is mainly being pushed by the Chinese Communist Party and recently came to a head under BRICS. Yet now, President-elect Donald Trump is calling out this effort directly, and is saying any country involved in this effort will soon face 100 percent tariffs. We’ll discuss this topic and others in this episode of Crossroads.
