Show Notes

In a stunning development out of Long Island this morning, Rex Heuermann, the 62-year-old former Manhattan architect accused of being the Gilgo Beach serial killer, stood before a Suffolk County judge and pleaded guilty to murdering seven women, then admitted to an eighth killing as part of his plea agreement. Heuermann confessed to strangling all eight victims over a 17-year period and dumping their bodies near Gilgo Beach on Long Island's South Shore. Under the terms of the agreement, he will spend the rest of his life in prison with no possibility of parole, and has waived his right to appeal. For the families of these women, this morning brought a moment many feared would never come.
