This case is a prime example of why we love dogs more than people. Dirk Prinsloo had a reputation for being a sleazy lawyer; making people feel uncomfortable was an understatement of his actions. When he met Cezanne Vesser he did what any narcissistic predator would do, and immediately swooned her in an intense over the top conquest to win her over. But once he got the girl, Dirk had higher expectations for how is partner must look. Three breast augmentations and one botched nose job later, Cezanne made quite a shocking transformation to say the least… but Cezanne’s transformation doesn’t just stop at her looks…What this couple ends up doing together will make your stomach turn… brace yourselves. In November of 2018 Tamla Horsford, a beautiful wife and mother to six, was attending a girls night sleepover at her friends house. Sadly, her family had no idea that they would never see her again when she left that evening. The next morning would bring a tragedy filled with unanswered questions for many close to Tamla. No one knows what happened that night, other than the ones who were there. But to this day, most everyone can agree, the explanations just don’t quite make sense. Sometime one love just isn’t enough… and Emma Ledoux was definitely living proof of that. In the early 1900s it wasn’t quite favorable to leave or step out of a marriage. On the day of August 23rd 2019 Michael Chad Breinholt showed up to his girlfriend’s work; although intoxicated, he also showed signs of severe mental distress. The police were called due to a concern with Chad’s overall state and well being. Chad was taken into custody. Despite numerous cries for help, Chad’s mental health was never assessed. As Chad himself was an advocate for mental health and addiction treatment, his story is a prime example of a desperate need for mental health awareness and appropriate treatment. Unfortunately Terry’s desire to make friends and talk to people in the neighborhood lured him into one of the most heinous crimes the police had ever seen. It’s hard to believe the lack of remorse his killer had. Mary Johnson (also known as Mary Davis) was last seen almost one year ago, on November 25th of 2020. Since that date, very little information is known as what what happened to her. Last seen walking with a man en route to a friend’s house, Mary never made it there. Mary’s case captures an example of the lack of information and coverage on the cases of murdered and missing Indigenous women. She is one of thousands. Her case remained unsolved. Ashley Loring Heavyrunner had big plans for her future. She was smart, kind hearted, and passionate about helping others. June 5th of 2017 was the last time that Ashley’s family heard from her. Since that day, it’s as if Ashley had vanished. Ashley’s family continues to search for her with very few leads or answers. We hope that sharing her story and her name will bring awareness, to not only her, but the thousands of murdered and missing Indigenous women who also have unsolved cases in the United States. Before 1991, Dan and Fran Keller were just an All- American couple running their own day care business in the town of Oak Hill, Texas. When accusations surface from several children, allegedly disclosing the details of what was happening at the daycare, the entire town turns upside down. Those aware of the allegations developed one mission, to bring the Keller’s down. This case is a prime example of what happens when people cannot see beyond a narrative that was created right from the start. But was it the TRUTH? You truly will not believe the outcome. This case couldn’t be more fitting for our Halloween special. It really has it all, and probably not in a good way. We are discussing the tragic true case of Leonarda Ciancuilli. Born out of hate, and a victim of extreme trauma herself-Leonarda’s life was full of pain and tragedy and as a result she becomes obsessed with various forms of the occult, Wicca and other alternative spiritual practices and the outcome is shocking. In honor of Halloween, we wanted to bring you a good old fashioned spooky case…a case in which a series of well known horror movies stemmed from in 1979, into the 1980s, ‘90s, and STILL into the 2000s. If you are a scary/paranormal movie buff, you of course know of Amityville. This week we discuss the very horrific TRUE crime story involving the murder of the Defoe family in November of 1974.
