Probably the most famous physicist of our time, Stephen Hawking, has tragically died.

Many people think theistic evolution, also known as evolutionary creation, a position held by many theologians and scientists today, represents the sensible middle ground, but is that really the case?

Several influential archaeologists reject the Bible’s portrayal of the monarchy led by Saul, David, and Solomon, claiming that the physical evidence contradicts the biblical record. Such claims are often repeated to the public as if they have been proven beyond reasonable doubt. But they are actually based on highly controversial interpretations of the facts. The evidence for Saul, David, and Solomon is plentiful, and if archaeological discoveries continue on their current trajectories, more supporting evidence will surface in the future.

Science is a wonderful thing and the quotes we have considered here are candid and revealing. They show that astrophysicists and astronomers do not have everything figured out, and chances are they will not anytime soon.

Bible Project has become increasingly popular in recent years. While the production value of their resources is high, we believe that there are some concerns that need to be addressed. What some perceive as minor differences among believers on Genesis has far-reaching implications.

Events, such as the Genesis Flood, would have resulted in a disordered dinosaur bone bed. When interpreted under an evolutionary worldview that discounts the reality of the Flood, this led to the ‘discovery’ of a dinosaur that never existed.

Christians need to be pro-active in working to see others come to faith in Christ. In doing that we will also be once again laying the foundations for human flourishing, but also the flourishing of the planet because man is needed to look after it; that’s the way God designed it to be.

God has designed the creation to be a place where people and animals can live in harmony when we take seriously our calling to be good stewards of nature.

The Altamira / Lascaux / Chauvet cave art stands as a spectacular testimony to the reality of biblical history, and the bankruptcy of ‘human evolution’. How could ‘cavemen’ have possibly produced such artistic masterpieces?

It seems to me that, for millennia, people have believed they know better than God. When will we learn? ‘In His Image’ primarily deals with contemporary ethical challenges, and how churches should respond to them.

Even though society at large continually rejects God, science advances. Our challenge, then, is to be able to meet this secular scientific thinking with a sound biblical alternative. Are we allowed to "monkey" around with human embryos? Are we allowed to wantonly reprogram the human genome?

Music is a special gift for people, all made in God’s image. It is meaningful because, originating from a source much greater than ourselves, it transcends our being in a way that even unbelievers can perceive.

Too many churches have abandoned the literal history of Genesis, the only solution. Instead, they have embraced evolutionism, a major part of the problem. The best way to counter bad thinking and ideas is not censorship but good ideas.

God, who is holy, true, good, and has beauty, created man for His glory. Created not evolved, we can reflect holiness, truth, goodness and beauty in our language, literature, music, mathematics, creativity and dominion, and so fulfill the purpose for which God brought us into being. Or we can rebel. It is true that we have all rebelled, but we can become new creatures in Christ through repentance and faith in Christ’s death and resurrection on our behalf.

The guidelines we find in the Bible address the ethical claims of animal rights advocates. Our interaction with animals and our use of them must be consistent with God’s moral requirements and for His glory.

Jesus said that God causes the rain to fall on the righteous and the unrighteous. Both believers and non-believers all share this same sin-cursed planet, and there is nothing we can do of ourselves to save ourselves from the effects of it.

Understanding that ‘God is light’ highlights the need for people to come into a right relationship with God by the one and only means that He has provided.

Considering the complexities of flight, it is really no surprise that it took over a century and a half after the development of the first machines in the Industrial Revolution to develop the first controlled flying machine. That it took so long, despite the application of much intelligence and engineering skill, is a powerful indication that flight could not have evolved by progressive selection of a series of random accidents.

The new discovery by Vaknin and others may lead to further discoveries corroborating the historical accuracy of the Bible. The possibility that carbon-14 can be accurately calibrated is big news for archaeology, and particularly for biblical archaeology.

Christians need not be intimidated into accepting secular accounts of origins. Evolutionists support big bang theory but say nothing about its major scientific problems. It contradicts the account of creation in Genesis, and Bible believing creationists should reject it on the authority of God’s Word.

Man is unique and the earth he possesses as his home is unique throughout the entire universe. This is not, as some suggest, because man is the product of a profoundly improbable sequence of cosmic, geologic, climatic, chemical, and biological events. Despite our insignificant size, we are the centre of God’s concerns in this universe—as shown by the Word becoming human flesh.

In order to remain rock solid in this culture we need to make sure that we are standing on the Word of God. We do this every time we affirm the true history as recorded in Genesis, and by doing this we also confirm the Gospel which is rooted in that history.

The desire to postpone or escape death, through cryonics or any other means, is incompatible with true Christian faith. For all people of the past—with two exceptions Enochand Elijah—the present, and those yet to live in the future, death is an unavoidable reality; with the exception of those alive at the time of Jesus’ return.

Whatever the latest media buzz, we can safely predict that the world will not see another Ice Age. This is founded in the confidence that the account of the global Flood in the book of Genesis is true, and that the Flood is what triggered the Ice Age.

Roe made the United States of America one of the least safe countries in the world for unborn babies. Unthinkably, the most dangerous place to be was in the mother’s womb, which God designed to be the safest place. Repealing Wade does not provide total protection for unborn babies against abortionists’ knives and vacuum cleaners, but it does allow states to protect them.

Many believers, even entire institutions of Christian higher learning, have been intimidated or indoctrinated into thinking they have to accept ape-to-human evolution. It is particularly ironic that this is happening right when the biological evidence is so strongly in favour of biblical creation.

As popularized by the New Atheist movement, atheists prefer the definition of “atheism” as “lacking belief in god(s)”. So, meet atheists on their own ground: if they want to define atheism as a mere lack of God belief, grant it and continue the discussion. Then, make them see whence their position comes and where it leads.

There is a historical explanation from the biblical worldview that explains degeneration in biology: the Fall. This is often scoffed at as an explanation, but it does explain the biological data as we see it today, and does so without the hindrances that evolution has.

If theistic evolutionists admit that the world was completed in the past, then they must abandon their view that God used naturalistic, evolutionary processes to accomplish that work. But if they continue to insist that creation is an unfinished work in progress, they cannot be faithful to Scripture. So, which should it be?

The nation of Israel started out with a small number of children that were born to one man living among a large and mixed population that was, in turn, made more cohesive by matters of religion and language. Clearly, being an Israelite is not a statement about genetics.

The answer to the question in the title of this article is No. Acceptance of the big bang (with or without accepting biological evolution) undermines biblical authority in crucial Gospel-related ways.

The clever and intelligent research done by these scientists goes a long way to demonstrate that information and the machinery required to utilize it can only come about by intelligent means.

While feathered dinosaurs are not ruled out by the biblical creationist model, the claims of feathers are looking more and more dubious.

Ironically, the sort of ministry Creation Ministries International engages in ends up helping the poor, too. Because by strengthening the faith of believers, and by arming and equipping them as they reach out to others, the numbers of Bible-believing Christians, motivated by the Gospel, increase.

When we understand how the Fall affected the world, and how some living things adapted in a post-Fall environment, it becomes easier to understand how various living things that hurt humans came about.

The moon gives us several pieces of evidence for the recent creation and intelligent design of the universe, and only raises questions for the evolutionist astronomers who have yet to propose a plausible account for its origin by naturalistic means.

Evolutionists have no plausible theory on how something as sophisticated as kinesin could have evolved in a gradual fashion. However, when we see similar machines and operating systems in our everyday life at work or home, they are always the result of intelligent and intentional design.

Even while Noah and Shem were still alive and able to bear witness to the judgment that came upon the antediluvians, Nimrod pursued his ambitious course of consolidating power, exercising authority over his neighbours, and challenging God. Our Lord used the division of language at Babel to bring an end to Nimrod’s ambitions and the first empire in world history.

There are no indisputable human fossils in the fossil record that we could say belong to the pre-Flood human culture(s). Even though God has left us with evidence for creation and the Flood, the Bible still says that without faith it is impossible to please and believe Him.

Given Roy Hattersley’s and Matthew Parris’s keen observations about the undeniably positive impact of Christianity’s teaching about “man’s place in the universe”, why don’t they themselves believe that teaching?

A major function of Creation Ministries International is showing that the Bible can be trusted in all areas. This is not only in its theology and morality, but also in the real history of the world that largely underpins this.

New evidence leaves the evolution textbooks with a dramatic grassy ‘time-travel’ conundrum, but there is no ‘time-travel’ problem when you start from the Bible.

Owls are interesting animals, with a complex visual and hearing system. They speak of God’s design, rather than evolution by random chance. It makes much more sense to believe what God’s Word says about these animals as opposed to evolutionary theory.

To the extent that the researchers have observed that selective culling of large-horned rams at Ram Mountain has diminished the size of rams and their horns… Evolution—the supposedly information-gaining process by which, over millions of years, some primeval soupy ‘seep’ became sheep—is nowhere in evidence here.

Some people object to a literal Creation Week by claiming that the seventh day on which God rested was not an ordinary day. An interpretation of Scripture which contradicts other statements of Scripture must be wrong. Scripture points clearly to a six-day creation.

Evolutionists expend much energy on political struggles against all shades of ‘creationism’ — including ‘intelligent design’ long-agers, progressive creationists, and the like. On such battlegrounds, she has a chance of selling her “evolution-won’t-mess-with-your-religion” message.
