Show Notes
Flex is running point this week while Greg finds out how tropical a West Coast IPA can get. The guys talk about Michigan’s “Super Drunk” law, listener horror stories about maple porters gone wrong, and why more breweries should let kids and dogs crash their parties. By the time they get to thiol yeast nostalgia, ancient beer inspectors, and the “It’s Me, Beer” campaign, they’re already calling BS on Halloween’s so-called “average” drink count.
Beers We’re Drinking:
- Greg is drinking the Short Lived collab from MadeWest Brewing and Maui Brewing Company, a West Coast IPA full of tropical goodness.
- Flex cracks open Peach Cobbler Sour from Xul Beer Company — sweet peaches, vanilla, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Turns out that “Super Drunk” law is a real thing and might need further research. Poor Marissa writes in to piggyback on the legend of the poop beer, and it’s not getting better. Greg shares how Four Legs Brewing pulled off a Halloween event that actually worked for everyone—parents, kids, dogs, and beer lovers alike. A great example of what breweries can do to keep beer fun and not so serious. Flex has a major thiolized-sized hole in his heart and needs to fill it. And we discover our dream job: Ale Conner. Some might say we’re overqualified.
