Beer friends are the best friends. Greg convinces his wife Shannon to crash the party with Flex to discuss their road trip to Firestone Walker’s Invitational Beer Festival. They also talk about dangerous hot sauce, pre-gaming, drive-thru liquor stores, sad news in the brewery world, and a list that will truly make Flex mad.
Greg and Shannon are drinking Primal Elements, a sour wild ale from Firestone Walker. Flex is sipping on Walkabout, a fruited sour from Fat Orange Cat.
The couple recants their time at the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest, including some great beer, meeting some beer Instagram friends in real life, the spiciest thing ever, and post-fest BBQs. They also got a VIP trip to There Does Not Exist and checked out Wild Fields Brewing.
We head to New Orleans for semi-legal drinking and driving for this week’s Ludicrous Libation Law.
Modern Times is finally going up for auction this week, but who will pay the steep price? Los Angeles-based Cellador Ales is closing their doors. Eppig Brewing in San Diego is opening a new location. New Belgium to launch an inclusive training program. And a top 5 list that is seltzer heavy.
