The Cover 3 crew breaks down alternate playoff scenarios from the 2021 season. First, before diving into the multiple timelines and hypotheticals from this past season of playoff debates, a look at the future of College Football Playoff expansion with a breakdown of the talking points and biggest issues that need to be resolved (3:00). Then it’s on to the “What If” scenarios from the 2021 season with the reveal of the final four playoff teams given each of the following hypotheticals: Ohio State defeats Oregon (28:00), Michigan loses close at Nebraska (35:00) and Georgia defeats Alabama in the SEC Championship Game (41:45). Plus, other individual results that could have made an otherwise controversy-free playoff selection process could have been much more tricky at the end of the season (48:00).
