Show Notes

The Cover 3 crew discusses what’s ahead with college athlete endorsements. On July 1, nearly a dozen states will enact legislation allowing college athletes to profit off their name, image and likeness without jeopardizing their eligibility and the NCAA is set to approve temporary rules to provide that same opportunity to everyone across the country. So here on June 30, we wanted to know: what will the NIL era look like for most college football players (1:30), how much money can we expect to see in these deals (10:00) and how will schools use their resources to help players with the process (19:33)? Then, how much does recruiting factor into non-conference and road scheduling and vice versa? As recruiting has modernized does making those trips to talent hotbeds for road games still matter (30:15)?
