In this presentation Dr. Snipes examines how PTSD symptoms can be viewed as the brain's way to keep the person safe. These behaviors serve a survival function. Once their functions are understood, then the person can set out to identify alternate, less disruptive or problematic behaviors to achieve the same goal.
