On this episode, we are joined by Sharon Dickow. Sharon is a P4 student at Wayne State University College of Pharmacy. We discuss uremic pruritus which is a prevalent symptom in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis. We review the pathophysiology as well as various treatment options available. We also give an overview of the data surrounding a treatment option that is still in the pipeline known as difelikefalin.
