Today on 'Conversations on Dance' we are joined by Moses Pendleton. Moses has been one of America’s most innova­tive and widely performed choreographers and directors for over 40 years. A co-founder of the ground-breaking Pilobolus Dance Theater in 1971, he formed his own company, MOMIX, in 1980. Mr. Pendleton has also worked extensively in film, TV, and opera and as a choreographer for ballet companies and special events.We talk with Moses about his unique trajectory to dance and directing performances, the founding of Pilobolus and MOMIX, and his production of 'Alice.' This week on Conversations on Dance, we are joined by Savannah Green, dancer with BalletX. Savannah was born and raised in New York City, receiving her initial dance training from Manhattan Youth Ballet. In 2017 she graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Political Science. She has been a member of BalletX since 2020. Savannah has been going to the Vail Dance Festival since she was about 11, and has now participated in the festival as an artist and a member of BalletX for the past several years. We chat with Savannah about her training, her love for dance, discovering her home with BalletX, and her years of experience at the Vail Dance Festival. Today we are joined by Dan Watt, director of the documentary, 'Everybody Dance.' After his career as a dancer and choreographer, Dan ventured towards a career in film and television, working with stars like Bea Arthur, Carol Channing, and Simon Cowell, as well as working at Colombia Pictures in film development for years. Dan tells us about his beginnings in dance, how he decided that he had stories that he wanted to tell, and how he connected with the Ballet For All Kids dance studio in California, that became the centerpiece of his documentary.
