In this episode, Dr. Tony Nader and Dr. Michael Levin discuss the different aspects of information, communication, intelligence, and awareness of cells. We see that even on the cellular level, the cells not only react individually to inputs and information but also there is a collective behaviour, which is called collective intelligence. Together, Dr. Nader and Dr. Levin explore how collective consciousness presents itself on the cellular level and also in our day-to-day existence.
Dr. Michael Levin is a Distinguished Professor in the Biology department at Tufts University and serves as the director of the Allen Discovery Center. He holds a PhD in biology from Harvard University and his groundbreaking research on bioelectric signals has important applications for how we understand cancer, regenerative medicine and even aging.
