The mission of the church is to go into the world and make disciples by declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Spirit and gathering these disciples in churches, that they might worship the Lord and obey his commands both now as salt, light, and a city on a hill in this world and in eternity in His presence to the glory of God the Father.

Our responsibility in the presence of the false teaching is to earnestly contend for the faith, trusting to be kept from stumbling by walking in the perpetual consciousness of God’s love through Christ, looking toward the day when we shall be presented before Him with exceeding joy.

Just Christ and the apostles predicted, there will always be the threat of false teachers who are revealed by their actions and seek to infiltrate and divide the church community.

Believers must be on their guard lest they be robbed of any essential joy of Christian faith by the craftiness or plausibility of ungodliness that comes in the form of deception, because the stakes are eternally high.

Those who know the character of God will remember and thank Him forever for who He is and what He has done.

God is the fountain of every blessing, and to His holy name we should dedicate our praise. He has crowned us with loving kindness and tender mercies, and he has removed our transgressions far from us. Therefore, we bless His name and call all creation to join us.

A deep and careful reflection upon our sinfulness, God’s wrath, our short span of life and eventual death will reveal our utter reliance upon God’s mercy to save and His will to establish in and through us an eternal grace.

Those who delight themselves in praising God cannot help but desire that others may be brought to praise Him for his salvation and long for the day when all the nations shall bow before Him.

Jesus demonstrates and announces the inauguration of a new kingdom - one marked by repentance and faith in the Good News - and he has the power to declare freedom to the captives of all things physical and spiritual.
