We start off the year by calibrating our hearts and minds by seeing the invisible, so that we can live invincible. Mo reminds us that part of our invincibility through Christ is being able to separate the temporal from the eternal. With that perspective, we can live courageous lives in this new year.

At the end of chapter eight of Romans we are reminded that He works all things together for good. What exactly does that mean, and how can we apply that to our lives. And, in the midst of the chaos around the world, which we discuss, how can we find clarity and live appropriately.

A.W. Tozer once said, “A scared world needs a fearless Church." It’s that sentiment that reminds us how the Church is to respond in hard times. This week, Darren and Mo discuss the effects of lockdowns in several countries in which Conduit Mission is serving, and how the Church has responded. From Haiti, to Uganda, to our own back yard in Columbia, TN - there are ways we can actively serve the least of these in the middle of crisis.

Romans 8:14-30 speaks of our Father adopting us into His sonship, the present suffering and the future glory. However, our current culture and the powers-that-be have an idea on how we achieve future glory (reset), and it’s in direct conflict with how Scripture describes this process (restoration). Darren and Mo discuss what this looks like through current world events in this week's episode.

This week Darren and Mo spend time discussing Romans 8:5, and what it means to have our minds set on the flesh vs. the Spirit. From time spent ‘doom scrolling’, binging Netflix, or being consumed by the news and politics…to creating habits and a lifestyle that meditates on the Word of God and being led by the Holy Spirit inside of us (Phil. 4:8, Rom. 8:11, Ps. 19:14).
