Standing up for what you believe in means sometimes standing alone. But when you put your trust in God, you are never alone. At the height of the George Floyd riots, where nearly every team had “Black Lives Matter” printed across their courts, jerseys, and warm-up suits. NBA star Jonathan Isaac was the sole player to stand up for his beliefs and stood during the national anthem. He would later do so again when he made the personal decision to decline the coronavirus vaccine. Learn more about those decisions, writing about his faith journey through his new book, “Why I Stand,” and how courage is not the absence of fear but the overcoming of fear.
