The modern-day slavery of human trafficking affects hundreds of thousands of victims in the United States alone and is on the rise. While the number of persons convicted of federal human trafficking offenses increased from 2011 to 2019 by 84%, this offense is one that happens in the shadows. Dr. Carson is joined by Bob Unanue, CEO of Goya Foods. For over 85 years Goya Foods has supported charities, scholarships, and programs that support communities and promote culture. Now, through the Goya Cares initiative, they are combatting human trafficking and bringing awareness around this issue.
